Key terms for this lesson:
Base - the bottom of a shape (usually referred to as b). This is the same length as the top of the shape (the opposite side) in a rectangle
Height - the other sides (not the bases), usually referred to as h. The opposite sides are again equal in length
Area formula (for square) - base (b) * height (h)
Perimeter formula (for rectangle) - length one (L1) * 2 + length 2 (L2) * 2 (or the sum of all the sides)
