  • Picture graphs (pictographs) - graphs that use pictures or symbols to represent data points(one picture or symbol may represent more than one number, check the legend/key)

  • Bar graphs - graphs that use bars to represent numbers or data points (usually have an x-axis and y-axis)

  • Line graphs - a graph that shows the trend of data using a line (normally, the x-axis represents time and the y-axis is something else)

  • Line plots - a graph that uses x's (or some other symbol) to represent data points (just like the pictograph could represent more than one data point, the line plot can too)
